SUMMARY In chickens sharply differing in growth intensity, the nuclear concentration on a constant length segment of muscle fibre released by maceration has been investigated. At the same time DNA concentration in muscular tissue and the frequency of e H-thyxnidine labelled nuclei in the individual groups have been examined. The content of nuclear component converted to volume unit of the fibre decreased in the course of the investigated period. The lowest values of this nucleo-plasmatic ratio were found in chickens with the highest intensity of growth. The tendency of changes in DNA concentration of the muscle tissue are in approximate agreement with these observations. In the course of the investigated period a decline in the frequency of 3 H-thymidine labelled nuclei has been observed. Differences in the share of labelled nuclei positively corresponding to the intensity of growth in the individual groups appear only in 7-day old chickens. The hypothesis is suggested that during the period of low proliferation level there may exist local differences of incorporation frequency in the muscle.

Background & Aim: Duchenne muscular dystrophy(DMD) which is caused due to the absence of cytoskeletal protein of dystrophin is the second most common, lethal genetic disorder in humans. The gene which is responsible for DMD is localized in the XP21 of human genum. Although genetic pattern and biochemistry of DMD have been recognized, pathophysiology that leads to disabling patients is not k...
متن کاملThe effect of HI-6 on reversal or prevention of changes induced by paraoxon in the function of Chicken biventer cervices nerve-muscle preparation
Paralysis of skeletal muscles, which can lead to paralysis of respiratory muscles and death, is one of the most toxic effects of organophosphates, and oximes are almost the only known antidotes that can reverse or prevent such toxic effects. In the present research work, possible reversal or preventive effect of different concentrations of the relatively new oxime (HI-6) on changes induced by p...

Introduction: The intensity of exercise is an important factor in choosing the right exercise program. The aim of current study was effect of 6-weeks of resistance training with high and low intensity on muscle growth and damage factors in active girls. Methods: 45 active girls with mean age of 20.7 ± 1.3 years, weight 58.5 ± 2.4 kg, and BMI 23.1 ± 0.5 kg / m2 were randomly divided to High(15 ...
متن کاملThe effect of different dendrotoxins on neurotransmission in chicken biventer cervices nerve-muscle preparation
In recent decades natural biological products (including components of animals and plants) have increasingly been investigated to discover new drugs. In this study, different dendrotoxins from Eastern green mamba (Dendroaspis aungusticeps) venom were examined for their effects on neurotransmitter release in chicken biventer cervices nerve-muscle preparation using twitch tension recording techni...
